1) Looking at mobile causes pressure on eyes. Eye strain:
Let us know what happens to children when they look at mobile phones. The ill effects of smartphones and similar gadgets are first visible on the eyes of children because they keep staring at the back lit screen for hours. It can also be called computer vision syndrome.
If you want the well-being of your children’s eyes, do not let them watch screens for more than 30 minutes at a time.
2) Slowing down of physical development. Delayed development:
The kind of technology we have today limits children’s movements, which can lag behind their physical development.
1 out of 3 school going children show slow physical development which affects their academic abilities and capabilities. By doing physical activities, children learn to focus and develop new skills.
3) Increase in obesity. Epidemic obesity:
Children who were given these devices to use in their rooms were found to have a 30 percent higher risk of becoming obese.
Even among obese children, 30 percent have diabetes and the risk of paralysis and heart attack increases as they grow up. All these dangers reduce their life expectancy.
It is being said that in the 21st century, the lifespan of children will not be as long as that of their parents.
4) Aggression:
Violence is shown a lot in media, TV, films and games, due to which aggression is increasing in children.
Nowadays, young children are exposed to programs and games of physical and sexual violence which contain scenes of murder, rape and torture.
5) Lack of sleep sleep deprivation:
60 percent of parents do not monitor their children’s technology use and 75 percent of children have free rein to use technology in their bedrooms.
The sleep of these children aged nine to ten years is getting affected due to the interference of technology, which affects their studies.
6) Digital amnesia/digital dementia:
High-speed media content severely affects the ability of children to focus due to which they are unable to concentrate on any one thing and are unable to remember the facts.
Children who suffer from the problem of distraction have difficulty in studying.
7) Getting addicted. Addictions:
When parents themselves are lost in their gadgets, they start moving away from their children on emotional grounds.
For better development, it is important that parents give time to children. When children miss their parents, they become engrossed in the flow of technology and knowledge, to which they grow addicted.
About 10 percent of the children who use technology extensively have become so addicted to it that they even forget their food and drink and remain glued to their gadgets from waking up in the morning till sleeping at night.

In May 2011, WHO declared the 2B category radiation risk of cellphones as a possible carcinogen.
But in the year 2013, Dr. Anthony Miller of the University of Toronto’s School of Public Health said in his research that on the basis of radio frequency exposure, not 2B category but 2A category should be considered carcinogenic.Children are our future but the future of children who use technology excessively is bleak.
9) Rapid development of brain is harmful. Rapid brain growth
By the age of two years, the size of a child’s brain almost triples and physical changes continue to occur in it until the age of 21.
The early development of the brain depends on the presence or absence of many types of environmental stimuli.
Overexposure to technology on the developing brain can lead to changes in children’s learning ability, lack of concentration, poor eating habits, poor eyesight, hyperactivity and inability to maintain self-discipline and regularity.
