How to reduce fat | obesity | Tips

Obesity and overweight are described as abnormal or excessive fat accumulations that pose a health concern. A BMI of 25 or above is considered overweight, and a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese.

Most people find it very difficult to reduce obesity or body fat. Obesity occurs due to many reasons, including heredity, which means that parents or other family members may also have been obese, but still, by changing the diet and adopting these easy measures of Indian diet, one can get success in reducing obesity.

Some of the remedies mentioned below:

1) Eat less rice and flour.
Rice and flour contain more calories than flour or some other grains like brown rice and increase obesity. Similarly, instead of ordinary white bread, many coarse grains like brown bread, flour bread, whole grain, oats etc. are more suitable.

2) Drink lemon water early in the morning.
This is a good way to reduce obesity. Squeeze lemon in lukewarm water and add a little salt or one spoon honey in it.

Drink it daily to improve metabolism and you will start seeing the difference in some time. If metabolism is fast then it is easy to burn fat.

3) Reduce sugar.
The calories obtained from consuming extra sugar get converted into fat which makes the stomach and thighs heavy. Stay away from sweets, chocolate, cold drinks and fried food.

4) Drink plenty of water.

If you want to prevent obesity from increasing, then drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking adequate amount of water keeps metabolism healthy and toxins are removed from the body. Drink water which is slightly warm after 1 hour of eating.

5) Eat raw garlic.
In the morning, chew or finely chop 1 or 2 cloves of garlic and eat it. If you find it difficult to eat after chewing, then chew it a little and drink water or swallow it directly and then drink lukewarm water mixed with lemon juice.

This keeps obesity under control and also improves blood circulation. People suffering from high blood pressure are also advised to eat raw garlic.

6) Increase the amount of salad and fruits.
Eat salad and fruits before main meals twice a day. By eating a full plate of salad half an hour before the meal, you avoid taking extra food and it also provides essential vitamins and minerals to the body.

7) Increase the use of special spices in food.

Using some spices like cinnamon, ginger, black pepper etc. in food increases insulin immunity and keeps the sugar level in the blood under control.
